Post offices to get NADRA like facilities

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Post Office will be getting facilities like National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). Citizens will be able to get their identity cards modified, renewed, and reissued for loss at these post offices.

The provision of these facilities will begin from Islamabad, with seven post offices. According to media reports, Postmaster General Mustafa Kamal said that the decision was taken in view of the large crowds outside NADRA offices. He added that the facility will be expanded to other cities in the near future.

On the other hand, media reports revealed that a dozen NADRA employees have been accused of issuing fake Pakistani ID cards and passports to hundreds of Iranian citizens. A charge sheet has been received by NADRA headquarters against these employees.

Media report revealed that the security of Pakistan was compromised by the issuance of these cards. Hundreds of fake cards were processed in different NADRA centers in Balochistan with the alleged connivance of NADRA employees. – INP
