PPP leaders gather in Lahore to tackle alleged election irregularities

LAHORE: Prominent leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) convened in Lahore on Saturday to address what the party alleges are “serious irregularities” observed in the results of the general election held on February 8.
According to sources, prominent figures from the PPP leadership, including former president Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reached Lahore.
They were soon joined by Asifa Bhutto as well.

Meanwhile, the PPP’s General Secretary for Central Punjab Hassan Murtaza also arrived at the Bilawal House.
As per sources, the general secretary will acquaint the PPP leadership of the alleged irregularities observed during the recent election.
Similarly, the Federal Minister of Climate Change Sherry Rehman arrived at Bilawal House to meet with Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, as well.
According to sources, Rehman is expected to present a comprehensive report detailing the factors contributing to the party’s setback in NA-127.
