PML-N prepping to welcome Nawaz at Minar-e-Pakistan jalsa

LAHORE: With Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) supremo’s return date almost here, the efforts for his welcome have been put into fast gear at Minar-e-Pakistan.
According to latest reports, former prime minister Shahbaz Sharif, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and former chief minister Hamza Shahbaz will visit the venue today.
According to sources the three PML-N politicians and family members of Nawaz Sharif are expected to reach Minar-e-Pakistan at 8 pm tonight. Maryam Nawaz will inspect the venue, stage and other arrangements.
Nawaz Sharif reaches Dubai ahead of Pakistan return
Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to return on October 21 (tomorrow), amidst immunity from arrests granted by the Accountability Court and the Islamabad High Court (IHC). In the meantime, Nawaz Sharif has arrived at Dubai, at the Emirates Hill – residence of Ishaq Dar’s son Ali Dar, who is married to Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Asma.

Meanwhile, the schedule of PML-N workers from KP for Nawaz Sharif’s jalsa, issued on Friday says the first convoy of Peshawar City will depart by train at 10PM, followed by Mohmand South Districts caravan at 8AM tomorrow via the Motorway. Soon after that the convoy from Charsadda will leave at 8:30, from Mardan at 9, and from Swabi at 10. The groups from Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, and Lucky Marwat will leave at 11AM tomorrow.
Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former federal minister, Omar Ayub Khan took to X (formerly twitter) and said, “All efforts are being made as per the ‘London Plan’ to give a clear run to Nawaz Sharif who is a convicted prisoner by the Supreme Court.”

Earlier today, it was announced that 10,000 security personnel have been deployed for security upon Sharif’s return from self-exile since November 19, 2019.
