Prices of spices rise ahead of Eid

ISLAMABAD: Prices of spices especially those used in cooking to give flavour to food, has increased by a huge margin just a couple of days before Eid.

In the absence of a proper price list, vendors are citing prices of their own choice

This new wave of inflation ahead of Eid-ul-Azha has further increased public difficulties. The price of black pepper has risen from Rs. 1,600 per kg to Rs. 2,500 per kg.

Chana dal has become Rs. 40 per kg more expensive, while prices of spices such as korma and tikka masala are now being sold at Rs. 800 per kg.
