The government had prolonged the winter vacations for both government and private primary schools until January 13 due to severe cold and fog.

A notification stated that all private and government primary schools (from playgroup to Class 5) throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)
remained closed until January 13 due to the prevailing cold weather conditions.

Additionally, revised timings were announced for middle/primary, high, and higher secondary schools (Classes 6 and above).

As of January 15, the old timings for middle and high schools have been reinstated. Middle and high schools will now commence at 8:30 a.m instead of 9:30 a.m and will conclude at 2:30 p.m instead of 3:30 p.m, as informed by the Education Department.

Students and parents are advised to take note of these revised timings for a smooth transition back to the academic routine.
