Prime suspect admits killing Mustafa Amir

KARACHI: Armaghan Qureshi, the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case, has confessed to his crime while in police custody.

According to the police, during interrogation, Armaghan confessing to the police told that he hit Mustafa Amir with a folding rod injuring his hands and feet then he fired three shots with his rifle towards Mustafa to scare him.

He admitted that he was intoxicated at the time and put Mustafa in the trunk of the car by putting a tape on his mouth and tied his hands and feet. Armaghan also revealed that Mustafa was alive and semi-conscious when he lit up his car.

According to the police they have a record of Armaghan’s confession which will be produced before the court after the end of his four-day remand.  

The police have also managed to identify the girl who was reportedly present at Armaghan’s house through DNA found at  his house.

The police have started searching for the girl who was injured due to Armaghan’s torture on New Year night.

Police are continuing to investigate the case, working to gather further evidence and details surrounding Mustafa Amir’s death.

Investigative authorities reveal that Armaghan has been involved in multiple crimes from 2019 to 2024, with several cases registered against him at Darakhshan, Sahil, Gizri, Boat Basin, and ANF police stations. These cases include charges of terrorism, attempted murder, drug trafficking, and intimidation.

Before his arrest, Armaghan wiped all data from his laptops in an attempt to destroy evidence of his illegal activities. He ran an unlawful software house and call center from his residence in Gizri, scamming foreign clients out of millions of dollars. He also operated multiple digital currency accounts to carry out cryptocurrency fraud.
