PTI protest: Islamabad to be completely sealed on Friday

ISLAMABAD: In anticipation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) protest rally on Friday, the Islamabad administration has taken stringent security measures and will seal off major entry points of the capital.

PTI will be launching a series of pro-judiciary protests in three cities of Punjab from today in three cities of Punjab and will gather in Islamabad on Oct 4 (Friday)

In a statement meant for his followers from prison, Imran Khan said: we will gather at D-Chowk [in Islamabad] on October 4

Containers have been placed at key routes, including Margalla Road, 26 Number Chungi, and the Motorway, to prevent any disruption in the city. Additionally, the Red Zone, housing government buildings, has been sealed by Islamabad police to maintain order and ensure security during the demonstrations.

The protest comes as part of PTI’s ongoing campaign for the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law.

Imran Khan in a statement said that PTI’s protests would remain peaceful, stating, “We have always protested peacefully, but this system has failed to protect us.”

LAWYERS DEPART FROM LAHORE

On Wednesday, Lawyers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) left Lahore for Islamabad to take part in a protest rally in Islamabad

According to details, some PTI lawyers including women departed for Islamabad from GPO Chowk at about 5 am on a coaster van. No prominent lawyer of PTI was part of this entourage.

Lawyers left for Islamabad in their own vehicles. They said they were taking part in a protest rally for the supremacy of the constitution and the rule of law in the country.
