No reports of rally or protestors have come from Peshawar, Swabi or Mardan so far

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is planning a protest rally towards the capital city today, Sunday November 24, on the call of founder and former chairman of PTI Imran Khan.

Meanwhile, the federal authorities have refused permission to PTI for the rally, owing to security threats. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has also issued clear orders for the capital city authorities to ensure law and order and prevent any untoward incidence caused by the protesting parties.

To ensure security and stability in the federal capital, all entry and exit points to Islamabad have been sealed with containers. Similarly, containers have also been placed on various roads and places inside Islamabad, including Zero point, Faizabad, and Khanna pul. Roads leading to Rawat T cross have been blocked on both sides, while Chongi no. 26 has been partially closed.

Metro bus service is suspended in both Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Section 144 is in force, across Islamabad, Punjab and Balochistan. Bus stops have been closed in various cities including Lahore, Islamabad, and Gujranwala.

A large number of Rangers, Frontier Constabulary (FC) and police personnel has been deployed at various places in Islamabad.

Reports from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa show that the motorways and GT roads leading to Islamabad have also been blocked. Moreover, there is no sign of any protestors or rally in Mardan, Swabi or Peshawar.
