The general secretary hoped that another party member could better serve  in the role.

Palh’s resignation occurs during a period of heightened internal conflict within the PTI. Party officials have raised concerns regarding remarks made by Bushra Bibi’s sister, Maryam Riaz Wattoo, and her spokesperson, Mashal Yousafzai.

PTI leader, Sher Afzal Marwat, also addressed the issues during a recent interview. Marwat noted that the party leadership was troubled by the statements of Bushra Bibi’s sister and the spokesperson, which he believes areexacerbating divisions within the party.

The PTI leader stated that some PTI members share backgrounds with former agency personnel. He suggested heavily that they were contributing to the fragmentation of the party.

He criticised the rhetoric being employed, claiming it has fostered frustration and a sense of helplessness among the PTI leadership.

The controversial leader urged the party’s founder, Imran Khan, to intervene and ‘rectify’ the situation.

The controversy escalated when Yousafzai and Maryam Wattoo alleged that Imran Khan placed greater trust in Bushra Bibi, his wife, than in certain ‘compromised’ party leaders.

Bushra Bibi’s aide in a recent interview to a foreign news outlet hinted that some party officials failed to adhere to the founder’s directions.

They suggested her involvement was a response to the perceived shortcomings  of other leaders in following Khan’s guidance.

Maryam Wattoo further claimed that the actions of the founder’s close associates appear questionable, implying they may be acting in their own interests rather than those of the party.
