PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders addressed the media today ahead of a highly anticipated rally set to take place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa tomorroe (September 27). The leaders voiced strong opinions on the party’s political future, government policies, and upcoming elections, setting the tone for a potentially pivotal event.

JUNAID AKBAR CALLS FOR SUPPORT AT RALLY

PTI Provincial President Junaid Akbar urged party supporters and critics alike to attend the rally, invoking the legacy of the party’s founding chairman Imran Khan. “If anyone is angry with us because of our incompetence, they should come to the rally for the sake of Imran Khan,” Akbar said.

He added that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would form the core of the rally’s participants, with visitors from other regions joining as guests. Akbar also revealed that political activities outside the province had been restricted, but expressed optimism about holding an even larger rally in Islamabad, should authorities grant permission.

ASAD QAISER CHALLENGES GOVERNMENT

PTI leader and former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser responded to recent statements by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, challenging them to contest elections. “They say everyone has forgotten the name of Imran Khan, I challenge them to contest elections now. They will not be able to win even 10 seats,” he said.

He also criticised the ongoing military operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, claiming they had worsened the economy and increased unemployment. Reflecting on the region’s turbulent security landscape, Qaiser questioned the effectiveness of multiple military operations. He added that Pakistan would not participate in any potential war in Afghanistan.

SALMAN AKRAM RAJA CALLS RALLY A HISTORIC MOMENT

PTI General Secretary Salman Akram Raja described the upcoming rally as “the most important rally in the history of Pakistan”.

He said, “We have always been against terrorism and fight it together.” He also expressed solidarity with journalists who have been issued notices under the PECA Act.
