Punjab announces electricity bill relief for August, September

LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced immediate relief on electricity bills for August and September.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-NN) President Nawaz Sharif while addersing a press conference along with Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz announced that relief will be provided for consumers using up to 500 units a month.
Those consuming up to 500 units will receive a relief of up to Rs14 per unit. Nawaz Sharif stated that we are not responsible for inflation; this problem started during the tenure of the founder of PTI.

He added that he had discussed electricity prices in detail during his speech on October 21.
“In 2017, electricity bills were lower, and people lived more comfortably; vegetables were available for ten rupees per kilo during our time,” said the PML-N president.
