LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to grant permission to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party to hold a rally in Lahore on Saturday, September 26.
According to sources an official announcement regarding this permission will be made soon, with the possibility that PTI may be assigned an alternative location rather than Minar-e-Pakistan.
The District Intelligence Committee, chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore, reviewed police reports and assessed the situation following the Islamabad rally. They discussed various proposals about granting permission for PTI’s rally.
As per details, the provincial government is considering providing locations on Multan Road, near the Kahna Cattle Market, and close to Jallo for the rally.
Due to security concerns, permission for the PTI rally cannot be granted within the city.
