Punjab Police conduct 302 intel operations in 24 hours

LAHORE: Law enforcement agencies carried out 302 intelligence-based operations across Punjab during the last 24 hours, according to a Punjab Police spokesperson.

As part of these operations, police checked the credentials and identities of 10,989 individuals. A total of 54 suspected persons were taken into custody during this period.

Sharing an update on broader efforts this year, police said 85,169 operations have been conducted across the province since January. Over the past seven months, more than 2.937 million individuals were checked, while 13,122 suspects were detained.

Regarding the crackdown on criminal elements, Punjab Police recovered 289 rifles and 2,101 pistols from various suspects. Additionally, 261 shotguns and a significant quantity of ammunition were also seized.

Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr Usman Anwar has instructed officers to continue operations against criminal elements across the province with full commitment.
