Punjab Transport Expo 2025 opens in Lahore

LAHORE: Punjab’s first-ever Transport Expo 2025 was inaugurated in Lahore on Thursday showcasing future of mobility. The expo will continue till September 5 (Friday).

Provincial Transport Minister Bilal Akbar and the Chinese Consul General jointly opened the event.

The expo is bringing together leading international and national stakeholders from the fields of transport, mobility, safety, and technology.

It is showcasing innovative solutions and emerging trends aimed at redefining Pakistan’s transport system.

Global and local companies are participating with a focus on electric vehicle technology, AI-driven solutions, Smart Road Transport (SRT), and long-range vehicles.

The event is also serving as a platform for networking between government, industry, and academia to exchange ideas and build partnerships.

Prominent participants include NORINCO, Yutong, Golden Dragon, Dewan Motors, Yango, YES Electromotive, OPUS, Sazgar, Pak Asia, Metro e-bike, Safe-T, and Chawala Motors.

Speaking to the media, Minister Bilal Akbar said that, in line with the vision of the Punjab Chief Minister, the expo is showcasing the province’s transport system of 2030.

The exhibition features models of 1,100 C-buses and trams, along with the modern transport card system. Shortlisted vehicles for taxi services are also on display.

In addition, axle load management and an AI-based traffic system are being highlighted as part of the province’s adoption of advanced technology.
