Punjab University postpones all exams


Punjab university exams postponed

LAHORE: The Punjab University, Lahore has announced the postponement of all its exams due to the worsening smog conditions in the city.

On Friday, Punjab government imposed a three-day lockdown in Lahore and Multan due to worsening smog conditions.

All schools, colleges and universities would be closed and all classes will be held Online, according to the provincial government’s guidelines.

According to Punjab University officials, all exams scheduled under the ambit of Punjab University are being postponed till further orders. The new dates for the exams will be announced later on.

The teachers have been instructed to conduct online classes to ensure the academic progress of the students.

Meanwhile Higher Education Commission (HEC) has also shut down universities and colleges in Lahore and Multan due to the severity of smog

According to the official notification, all the universities have been directed to shift classes online for the safety of the students.

HEC notification states that schools across Punjab except Murree will remain closed until November 24.
