LAHORE: Following the end of a summary approval period, the Punjab government has appointed new vice-chancellors (VCs) for six women universities across the province.

Key appointments include Dr. Bushra Mirza as the VC of Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, and Dr. Uzma Qureshi for Lahore College for Women University. Other appointees are Dr. Kanwal Amin at Government College Women University, Faisalabad, and Dr. Shazia Bashir in Government College Women University, Sialkot. Meanwhile, Dr. Shazia Anjum has been named as VC at Government Sadiq College Women University, Bahawalpur​.

IHC orders re-take of MDCAT 2024

Due to the ongoing ‘dispute’ between Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz the process of appointment of vice chancellors (VCs) at key public sector universities in the province has been delayed.
