LAHORE: Intermittent rain has disrupted power supply in various areas of Lahore on Monday morning, while a moderate flood alert has been issued for the River Ravi for the next 48 hours.
Intermittent rain in Lahore has disrupted the power supply system. More than 50 LESCO feeders tripped due to heavy rain.
Power outages have been reported in Harbanspura, Rizwan Garden, Awan Town, Islam Pura, Muslim Town, Gulberg, Lakshmi Chowk, Nehru Park, and Gulshan Ravi.

LESCO said power restoration work will start once the rain stops. Rainfall recorded includes 7mm in Lakshmi Chowk, 6mm in Gulberg, and 4mm each in Nishtar Town, Chok Nakhuda, and Gulshan Ravi.
FLOOD ALERT FOR RAVI
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a moderate flood alert for the River Ravi for the next 48 hours.
According to NDMA, Thien Dam has reached 86 percent capacity at 1,717 feet. Due to floodwaters, the water flow in the River Ravi is expected to rise.
India alerts Pakistan about possible major flood
The water flow in the streams of the Pir Panjal Range may also reach medium to high levels within 24 hours. At Kot Naina, the current water flow in the Ravi River has been recorded at 64,000 cusecs.
Low-lying areas of Sialkot, Narowal, and Kasur may be affected, NDMA warned, instructing relevant departments and emergency services to stay on alert.
