Rain expected in Islamabad, KP today

ISLAMABAD: Rain coupled with wind storm, thunderstorms and light snowfall over hills is likely in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), upper Punjab, and Islamabad today, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.  

However, mainly dry weather is expected in most other parts of the country.

According to the Met office, there is a possibility of rain coupled with thunderstorms in Islamabad and its surrounding areas . Rain is also expected in Murree and Galiat and several areas of KP.

In Lahore, the weather will remain dry, with the maximum temperature remaining around 32 degrees centigrade.

Lahore remains amongst the most polluted cities in the world today with an average Air Qulity Index of 207.

In Musakhel, Chaman, Ziarat, and Quetta, there’s a chance of thunderstorms, gusty winds, lightning, and rain.

Temperatures of major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad 17 degree centigrade, Lahore 21, Karachi 25, Peshawar 19, Quetta 15, Gilgit 12, Murree eight and Muzaffarabad 14 degree centigrade.
