PMD predicts rain and snow in northern Pakistan, fog in Punjab

ISLAMABAD: The weather is expected to remain cold across most parts of the country, with cloudy conditions predicted in northern areas, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
In upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain is forecast for many regions, while snowfall is likely in the mountainous areas of the province. Gilgit-Baltistan is also expected to experience rain and snowfall.
Rain is likely in various parts of Azad Kashmir and the capital, Islamabad. Cold weather is forecast for Quetta, Pishin, Zhob, and Chaman, while cold winds are expected to blow in the Qilla Abdullah region and surrounding areas.
Foggy conditions are anticipated in Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, and Attock, whereas rain is expected in Chakwal, Sialkot, Hafizabad, and Gujranwala. Rain is also forecast for Jhelum, Lahore, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Mianwali, and Khushab.
In Faisalabad and Jhang, rain accompanied by thunderstorms is predicted, while foggy weather is expected in Sukkur, Kashmore, and Jacobabad.
Rain is forecast in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Buner, and Shangla. Additionally, rain and snowfall are expected in Battagram, Kohistan, Abbottabad, and Bajaur. In Mansehra, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, and Kurram, snowfall is likely in the mountainous areas.
