Rainfall expected across Pakistan starting June 18

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall across various parts of the country from June 18, offering a potential respite from the intense heatwave.
According to the meteorological department, moist air currents originating from the Arabian Sea could enter upper and central regions of the country from June 18 to 22. This weather pattern may bring thunderstorms and showers accompanied by gusty winds to Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
During June 16 to 18, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to remain under the grip of severe heat and dry weather. From June 18 to 22, Chitral and Abbottabad may experience thunderstorms and lightning.
Most parts of Balochistan will continue to experience severe heat and dry conditions from June 16 to 18. However, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, and Gilgit may witness windstorms and occasional rainfall from June 18 to 22.
Between June 20 to 22, Bahawalpur, Multan, and Khanewal are likely to experience windstorms, gusts, and lightning along with rainfall.
In Sindh, most areas will endure severe heat and dry weather until June 20, while scattered thunderstorm activity is expected in Sukkur and Jacobabad from June 21 to 22.
