Rain predicted across Pakistan, dust storms in lower regions

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted rain throughout the country while lower regions of Sindh and Balochistan are expected to receive dust storms for Thursday (today).

In Islamabad, the Met Office predicts partly cloudy weather after a generous amount of rain fell on Wednesday. There is also a possibility of thunderstorm in different parts of the city.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s largest province Balochistan is expected to experience dual weather. While northern parts of the province are expected to receive rain with strong winds, the southern part will most likely remain dry and may encounter dust storms.

In Punjab, rain and even thunderstorms are expected in various districts, with partly cloudy weather in southern Punjab bordering Sindh.

Sindh itself will remain mostly dry with rain in certain regions. Southern parts of Sindh are expected to be affected by dust storms.

In northern Pakistan, cloudy weather is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will witness rain with windstorms in numerous districts across the province. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms in small pockets.
