Rain, snowfall predicted across various parts of the country

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in different parts of the country starting today including light rain in Islamabad and its surrounding areas.

According to the met office, rain is likely in Quetta, Pishin, Qila Saifullah, Zhob, and Sherani, while areas including Musakhel, Barkhan, Ziarat, Loralai, and Dera Ghazi Khan may also experience showers.

Showers are forecasted in Gwadar, Kech, Panjgur, Awaran, Kalat, Khuzdar, and Lasbela as weather conditions change in southern regions.

From this evening until December 2 rain is expected in North Waziristan, South Waziristan, Kurram, Mohmand, and Khyber districts. Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Buner, Shangla, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Kohistan are also likely to receive rainfall.

Lahore’s AQI takes a turn for the worse

In Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, including Ghizer, Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu, and surrounding areas, rain and snowfall is predicted.

There are also chances of light rain in the Potohar region, including Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad, Mianwali, Bhakkar, and Layyah, providing relief from dry weather.

The Met office has advised residents of mountainous areas to prepare for snowfall and potential disruptions in travel.

Smog and fog is predicted in various areas of central Punjab while fog along with dry weather is also predicted in Sindh.
