Rainfall likely in Punjab, KP, Islamabad tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Rain-windstorm/thunderstorm is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper/Central Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the next twelve hours.

The regions expected to be affected include Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Khushab, and Nurpur Thal, with a chance of rain also predicted in Sargodha, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, and Okara, said the Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

A PDMA spokesperson indicates that DG Khan, Multan, Khanewal, and Bahawalpur may experience thundershowers, highlighting the widespread nature of the weather system.

PDMA issues heavy rain and thunderstorm warning for Punjab districts

In addition to Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is also expected to witness showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of heavy rain accompanied by hailstorms. The capital city, Islamabad, is likely to experience a hailstorm and heavy rain in the evening.

Furthermore, regions, including north Balochistan, south Punjab, and upper Sindh, are also forecasted to receive rainfall in the coming hours. 

Hot and dry weather is likely in other parts of the country.

Islamabad and Quetta twenty degree centigrade, Lahore twenty-four, Karachi twenty-seven, Peshawar twenty-two,  Gilgit seventeen, Murree thirteen and Muzaffarabad twenty-one degree centigrade.
