Rajouri ADC Raj Kumar Thapa killed in targeted operation by Pakistan Army

Raj Kumar Thapa killed

WEB DESK: In a significant development under Operation Bunyan-e-Marsoos, Pakistani forces carried out a targeted operation in Rajouri, resulting in the death of Indian official Raj Kumar Thapa, who served as Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC).

According to sources, Raj Kumar was acting as a facilitator for terrorist activities under the cover of the Indian government. He was widely viewed among Kashmiri Muslims as a symbol of fear due to his involvement in oppressive actions against the local population.

He was said to be regularly present in high-level military briefings, raising questions about the extent of his coordination with Indian security forces operating in the occupied region.

The operation is being interpreted as a strong and calculated response by Pakistan to recent Indian actions in the region, reflecting a shift in strategic engagement across the Line of Control.

Earlier, following the launch of Operation Bunyan-e-Marsoos, Pakistan’s armed forces achieved swift and decisive gains over Indian military positions within hours. The speed and precision of the military action are being viewed as a significant blow to India’s strategic standing.

Security sources state that the Pakistan Air Force deployed JF-17 Thunder fighter jets—equipped with hypersonic missile systems—to neutralise key Indian defence assets. Notably, the Indian S-400 air defence system, considered a core component of India’s aerial defence, was reportedly destroyed, leaving substantial vulnerabilities in Indian airspace security.

Pakistani forces also targeted critical Indian communication and defence infrastructure, reportedly crippling their operational capabilities. Artillery positions in Dehra Niyari were destroyed, while a BrahMos missile storage facility in Nagrota was said to be obliterated, resulting in heavy casualties.

Further damage was reported in Uri, where a key Indian field supply depot was reportedly destroyed. In Bhimber Gali, located in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, Pakistani strikes allegedly levelled the Indian brigade headquarters.

Airbases in Barnala, Pathankot, Bathinda, Sirsa, and Akhnoor were also rendered completely inoperative. Along the Line of Control (LoC), several Indian military posts were destroyed, particularly in the Neza Pir sector, where posts including Dharmshal One, Dana, and Table Top were eliminated.
