Ramazan 2025: New timings announced for Islamabad schools

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) in Islamabad has announced new timings for schools in the federal capital for the holy month of Ramazan.

As per the notification issued by the FDE, single-shift schools will start classes at 8:00 am to 12.30 pm from Monday to Thursday. While on Friday the schools will open from 8:00 am till 12:00 pm.

School timings in Islamabad in the evening shift will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm from Monday to Friday and the evening shift will start 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm from Monday to Thursday and from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm on Friday during Ramazan.

Revised school timings have also been announced for private and public schools of Punjab and Sindh for the holy month of Ramazan.

According to the notification issued by the Punjab Schools education department, from Monday to Thursday the schools will open from 8:30 am and would close at 1:00 pm. On Fridays, the schools will close at 12:30 pm.

For schools that have double shifts, the morning timings will be from 8:00 am till 1:00 pm and the second shift will come from 1:00 pm till 4:00 pm.

While on Friday the second shift will start from 2:30 pm till 4:00 pm

While in Sindh, schools operating single shifts will function from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
