Ramazan moon sighted in Pakistan, first Roza on Tuesday


ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Monday announced that the Ramazan moon has been sighted in the country.

Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad presided over the moon-sighting meeting in Peshawar.

Speaking at a press briefing following the gathering, Azad said that reports confirming the sighting of the moon were received from various regions across the country, such as Peshawar, Lahore, Swat, Sargodha, and other locations.

It said that the first Roza will be observed nationwide on Tuesday.
