Rawalpindi district bar association election results announced

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi District Bar Association (RDBA) officially announced results of its annual election held recently.
The elections determine the leadership of the association that represents the interests of lawyers in the district. This year’s elections saw several candidates vying for key positions, including President, Secretary and Joint Secretary.

Sardar Manzar Bashir Khan emerged victorious in the race for the position of the president. He secured a total of 1,109 votes.
Khan’s campaign focused on different issues important to the legal community, including the need for improved facilities for the lawyers, better access to justice and the promotion of legal education.
In the secretary position, Asad Mehmood Malik claimed victory with 1,047 votes.
The position of joint secretary was won by Rana Hasher Hussain, who received 2,175 votes, the highest among all candidates.
The elections were conducted by the Election board of the RDBA, which plays an important role in advocating as a platform for legal professionals to voice their concerns, share knowledge and collaborate on various initiatives aimed at improving the legal landscape in the city.
