ISLAMABAD: Today, the nation observes the second death anniversary of a national hero, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, affectionately known as Mohsin-e-Pakistan, a distinguished nuclear scientist who left an indelible mark on our history.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan’s journey began on April 1, 1936, in Bhopal, India, but it was in Pakistan that he would go on to achieve greatness. He dedicated his life to bolstering Pakistan’s defense capabilities and ensuring its sovereignty. Through his unwavering dedication and unparalleled expertise, he transformed Pakistan into the first nuclear power in the Muslim world and the seventh nuclear power globally.

His contributions to the nation did not go unnoticed. Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan received numerous accolades throughout his lifetime, including the prestigious Nishan Pakistan, not once but twice, in recognition of his invaluable services to the country.
On this day in 2021, we lost a true visionary, a scientist par excellence, and a patriot who worked tirelessly to make Pakistan stronger and safer. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan’s legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of the Pakistani people, and his contributions continue to inspire generations.
