Renowned Pakistani chef Zakir Hussain passes away

KARACHI: Famed chef and culinarian Zakir Hussain passed away in Karachi on Monday at the age of 58, his family confirmed.

His funeral prayers will be held today after Asr prayers at Jamia Rashidia, Saudabad, the family added.

According to relatives, he had been suffering from kidney-related illness and was on dialysis. His nephew, Shayan, said Chef Zakir had been undergoing treatment in the US but returned to Pakistan a month ago after doctors gave up hope.
