Reserve seats saga continues: SC suspends PHC’s verdict

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has overturned Peshawar High Court’s verdict on Sunni Ittehad Council’s case pertaining to reserved seats. Justice Mansoor Ali Shah announced the court’s decision.
The court accepted the Sunni Ittehad Council’s (SIC) application for hearing, which will resume on June 3.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)’s verdict has also been suspended.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah said that the court also notices reserved seats holders, and that the court needs assistance of ECP’s counsel in this regard as well.
