ISLAMABAD: The Additional District and Session Court Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka on Tuesday heard joint appeals of suspension of sentence and expeditious hearing filed by the PTI founder Imran Khan and the former first lady Bushra Bibi in the iddat case.

Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s counsels Salman Safdar, Khalid Yousuf Chaudhary and Khawar Maneka’s lawyer Zahid Asif Chaudhry appeared before the court.

Bushra Bibi’s lawyer Salman Safdar objected to the jurisdiction of the trial court in the case.

Safdar argued that Nikkah was solemnised in Lahore but sentence was awarded in Islamabad which didn’t come under the ambit of this court.

After hearing from both sides, the court reserved the verdict which will be announced on June 27.
