QUETTA: Three individuals lost their lives in a roadside bomb explosion in the Balgatar area of the Kech district in Balochistan.

Deputy Commissioner of Kech, Hussain Jan Baloch, said that the blast occurred near a vehicle in the Hoshab region of Kech, resulting in the tragic deaths of three individuals who were traveling in the same vehicle. The deceased individuals, including two brothers, were residents of Balgatar.

Upon receiving the information, Levies officials swiftly arrived at the scene and transported the bodies to the Turbat Hospital.

Hussain Jan Baloch stated that it has not been determined whether the explosion resulted from a collision with an explosive device attached to the vehicle or a roadside-planted bomb. Investigations are under way to ascertain the cause, he said.

It is noteworthy that Balochistan has been a target of terrorists for some time, with frequent incidents of bomb explosions and acts of terrorism.

These incidents often target security forces, religious and political leaders, as well as the general public.

Last month in Quetta, the vehicle of a project manager from the Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation was targeted with a roadside bomb, resulting in the tragic death of the manager and severe injuries to the driver.

In the context of this series of events, the most significant act of terrorism occurred on September 29, when more than 50 individuals lost their lives in an explosion during a procession on the 12th of Rabi’ul Awwal in Mastung.

In September last year, an explosion in Mastung injured 11 individuals, including senior JUI-F leader Hafiz Hamdullah.

In a tragic incident last year in the Dera Bugti region of Balochistan, a bomb explosion targeting Senator Sarfraz Bugti and others resulted in the loss of four lives, including Senator Sarfraz Bugti’s cousin, and left 10 individuals injured, including Levies personnel.
