According to SUPARCO, the new moon will be born on February 28, 2025, at 05:45 PST. At sunset on the same day, the moon will be 12 hours old and at an altitude of 5 degrees, making sighting difficult. The moon’s age must be at least 19 hours for visibility, the spokesperson said.

Ramazan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, and is observed by the 1.9 billion Muslims worldwide. It is a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community, as fasting during the holy month of Ramazan is one of the five pillars of our faith.
