Saturday holiday cancelled in federal educational institutions

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has cancelled Saturday’s holiday in the federal government-run educational institutions.

A notification to this effect has been issued.

The decision was made due to the academic loss students faced during extended school closures, according to the notification.

Starting tomorrow, Saturday will now be a working day in all federal educational institutions.

The new policy will be effective from November 30, 2024, to February 1, 2025, the notification added.
