MAKKAH: In a grand display of hospitality, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosted an Iftar at the Al-Safa Palace in Makkah in honour of Prime Minister and other world leaders. This event was marked by the attendance of distinguished guests including the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif and the Crown Prince of Bahrain, Saudi Gazette reported.
The leaders gathered in the spirit of Ramazan, breaking their fast together in a setting that resonated with unity and mutual respect. All cabinet members visiting along with the PM also attended the Iftar dinner.
The Iftar at Al-Safa Palace, a location steeped in historical significance and close to the Grand Mosque, provided a fitting backdrop for this gathering. It underscored the shared values and the strong bonds between the nations, as they joined in the observance of this sacred tradition.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s presence at the Iftar, during his three-day visit to the kingdom, was a testament to the enduring partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The visit, which included discussions on various projects and bilateral cooperation, also saw the prime minister renewing his invitation to the Saudi Crown Prince to visit Pakistan.
The Crown Prince of Bahrain’s participation further highlighted the collaborative spirit among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, fostering a sense of regional solidarity.
The leaders’ joint participation in the Iftar was not only a diplomatic gesture but also a reflection of the deep-rooted cultural and religious ties that bind these nations together.
