Saudi delegation lands in Islamabad for major investment agreements

ISLAMABAD: A Saudi delegation has arrived in Islamabad to sign investment agreements in Pakistan on Wednesday evening.
The high-level trade delegation led by Saudi Investment Minister Khalid bin Abdulaziz landed at Noor Khan Airbase, where they were received by Commerce Minister Jam Kamal, Mossadik Malik, and other senior officials. Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed al-Maliki was also present.
The delegation consists of 130 members, and it is expected that the Saudi delegation will sign $2 billion investment deals in Pakistan.
The delegation is scheduled to visit the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park and meet with military officials tomorrow.

According to sources, there will be roundtable meetings with the Saudi delegation at the ministerial level, including plenary sessions, sectoral breakout sessions, and business-to-business sessions.
Officials from the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Information Technology will be involved in various discussions, while representatives from the Ministry of Food Security, Communication Division, and Ministry of Petroleum will also hold talks with the Saudi delegation.
Officials from the Ministry of Industry and Production and the services sector will be engaged for investment talks with the Saudi delegation.
Following these sessions, agreements are expected to be signed between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will host a dinner in honour of the Saudi delegation tomorrow at a private hotel.
