Second son of Aleema Khan also arrested

LAHORE: Another son of PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, has reportedly been arrested, according to her lawyer.
Rana Mudassar Omar Advocate said that Sher Shah, Aleema’s other son, was taken into custody when he arrived at the court for his brother Shahrez’s hearing.

He claimed that plainclothes personnel, accompanied by police vehicles, stopped their car and forcibly took Sher Shah away.
At the time of the arrest, the car was being driven by Aleema’s husband.
It is worth noting that just a day earlier, Aleema Khan’s son, Shahrez Azim, was also arrested for his alleged involvement in the May 9 violent incidents.
On Friday the Anti-Terrorism Court granted police an eight day remand of Shahrez Khan.
Speaking to the media outside the ATC, Aleema Khan said that Imran Khan was granted bail in eight cases on Wednesday, “and in response, authorities came to my house in the evening and took away my son. Today, he was produced before the ATC,” she said.
She added that Shahrez had always focused on representing Pakistan in sports or managing his business. “We have repeatedly said that if you want to arrest us, go ahead. We will always be the voice of Imran Khan,” she stated.
She also shared Imran Khan’s message from their last meeting, quoting him as saying, “This is the night of oppression, but dawn will eventually come.”
