Security forces kill 27 terrorists in Kacchi district of Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Security forces have killed at least 27 terrorists in the Kacchi district of Balochistan during an intelligence-based operation.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out on January 12 on a tip-off about the presence of the terrorists in the area.

During the operation, troops effectively engaged the terrorists and killed 27 of them after an intense fire exchange.

The security forces also discovered multiple hideouts, and recovered caches of arms, ammunition and explosives, which were also destroyed during the operation.

According to the ISPR, the slain terrorists were involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces and civilians and wanted to the law enforcement agencies.

“The security forces remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan,” the ISPR said.
