Security forces kill nine terrorists in Tirah, Lakki Marwat: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: At least nine terrorists were killed in two operations conducted by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to the ISPR, seven terrorists were killed following a tip-off in the Thira area. Most wanted terrorist Najeeb, also known as Abdul Rehman, and terrorist commander Ashfaq, alias Muawiya were among the dead, the ISPR said.

In a separate operation in the Lakki Marwat district, two terrorists were killed. Arms, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the slain terrorists, who were highly wanted and involved in several sabotage activities, the ISPR said.

“A clearance operation is ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area. The security forces remain determined to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
