Led by Ahmad Karim Kundi, the opposition highlighted concerns over the non-swearing-in of 25 members, asserting that this could impact the fairness of the electoral process.

The Senate elections for 11 seats in were postponed as the Speaker of the KP Assembly did not administer the oath to women and minority lawmakers-elect from the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on the reserved seats.

Elections are underway on 12 seats in Sindh, five seats in Punjab, and two seats in the federal cabinet.

A total of four types of ballot papers are being used in the election: white ballot papers for general seats, green for technocrats, pink for women and white for minority seats.
