LAHORE: Seven lion cubs have been born at Wild Life Safari Park in Lahore in the last few weeks, increasing the lion population at the safari from zoo from 22 to 29.

Three lionesses gave birth to the cubs, with one delivering three and the other two giving birth to two cubs each.

Among the new arrivals, two are white cubs. Earlier, the zoo also successfully bred three healthy Royal Bengal tiger cubs.

Director of Lahore Safari Zoo, Tanveer Ahmed Janjua, confirmed that all the cubs are healthy.

However, zoo authorities revealed that three males and four female cubs were born, however, four of the cubs were not accepted by their mothers after birth, necessitating hand-feeding.

According to veterinary experts, big cats often reject their newborns if they sense any abnormalities, refusing to nurse them. In such cases, the cubs are fed with formula milk to ensure their survival.

The remaining cubs can be seen playfully interacting with their mothers, providing the visitors with a beautiful sight.
