Seven security personnel martyred in North Waziristan militant attacks

NORTH WAZIRISTAN: On Saturday, North Waziristan witnessed two militant attacks, resulting in the death of seven security personnel, with two others sustaining injuries, according to local sources.

The first attack occurred in the Hassan Khel area of Tehsil Datta Khel, where an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted a bomb disposal unit, followed by militants opening fire on the forces. This led to the martyrdom of five security personnel and injuries to two others.

In a separate incident, militants launched an assault on a security post in the Seeman area of Mir Ali, which also led to the martyrdom of two security personnel.

Following the attacks, the bodies of the martyred soldiers were airlifted to Combined Military Hospital, Bannu. The injured soldiers were also transported to the same hospital for medical aid. Security forces cordoned off the areas and initiated a search operation.
