Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s hospital transfer approved

RAWALPINDI: On Thursday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi experienced some deterioration in his health while in prison. The incident prompted the jail administration to seek permission from Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain of the court established under the Official Secrets Act to transfer him to a hospital.

Toshakhana case hearing adjourned till November 15

According to reports, the jail administration sought permission from Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain to authorise the transfer of Qureshi to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital based on the recommendations of the jail doctor. The court granted permission for the former foreign minister to be shifted to the hospital.

Qureshi has been in detention at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail since his arrest in connection with the cipher case.
