Shehbaz Sharif updates his Twitter bio

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif updated his Twitter bio on Monday, following Anwaarul Haq Kakar’s oath-taking as the eighth caretaker prime minister.

“Former Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan”, his revised bio now states.

He also conveyed his best wishes to the newly appointed caretaker Prime Minister.

Earlier today, in a distinguished ceremony, Shehbaz Sharif was given a guard of honour by a contingent of armed forces.

The impressive military formation, comprised of resolute personnel, marked a moment of significant recognition for the ex-prime minister.

Notably, the guard of honour was extended to Shehbaz Sharif under the supervision of the caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq, who bid farewell to the former premier.

Shehbaz Sharif assumed office in April last year, following the successful no-confidence vote that resulted in the removal of the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) who was in power at that time.
