Sindh launches crackdown on fake plates, tinted windows violations

KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to intensify its crackdown on vehicles with fake number plates, tinted windows, and the public display of arms.
The decision was taken in a recent law and order meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah.
The meeting included the participation of the Home Secretary, IG Sindh, Additional IG, and Rangers representatives.

Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah instructed the Home Department to launch a public awareness campaign through the media, informing citizens of the legal actions against these violations.
The meeting also focused on enhancing community surveillance through neighborhood watch groups.
Under Assistant Commissioners’ supervision, these groups aim to strengthen local security and improve law and order.
Chief Secretary Shah emphasized that law enforcement agencies should remain active to ensure public safety across the province.
