Sindh, Punjab CMs extend Nauroz greetings

WEB DESK: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Thursday extended greetings to communities celebrating Nauroz, highlighting the festival’s cultural and symbolic significance.
In his message, CM Murad described Nauroz as a “celebration of spring’s arrival and nature’s new journey.” He said that Sindh has long been a symbol of “tolerance, cultural diversity, and peace,” adding that the festival carries a message of renewal, harmony, and prosperity.
“The Sindh government firmly believes in respecting cultural traditions,” he stated, offering his “heartfelt congratulations to all communities observing Nauroz.”
Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz also marked the occasion, extending her well wishes to Nauroz-celebrating nations around the world.
“Countries such as Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan share these festivities,” she said, adding that the event represents “hope, happiness, and the strengthening of bonds between families, communities, and nations.”
She stated that Nauroz highlights “diverse cultures, shared traditions, and common values,” while reflecting the universal aspiration for “joy, peace, and prosperity.”
