Six dead in early morning traffic accident

KARACHI: At least six people were killed and more than 20 others wounded in a road accident at the Indus Highway near Manjhand in Wednesday’s wee hours.
Police sources said that all the vehicles were going to Karachi from Larkana when the unfortunate incident occurred near Paranji Hotel on the Indus Highway.
The death toll is feared to rise as most injured people are said to be in critical condition.
The mishap took place when three vehicles, a passenger bus, an oil tanker and a mini-truck collided into each other.

SSP Jamshoro Muhammad Tariq Nawaz confirmed six deaths, saying 28 wounded people have been shifted to Jamshoro Hospital in Hyderabad. Among the injured, seven are stated to be in critical condition.
The deceased passengers and other injured were belonged to Larkana, Karachi and Khairpur Nathan Shah.
According to the eyewitnesses, the rescue operation started after a considerable delay. Apart from police, the local people and passengers from the other vehicles took part rescue operation.
According to police officials at the reason of the accident is not yet confirmed. They said that investigation is underway to ascertain the facts involving the accident.
Police further said that the bodies were shifted to the nearby hospital while injured were shifted to Jamshoro Hospital in Hyderabad.
The deceased passengers and other injured were belonged to Larkana, Karachi and Khairpur Nathan Shah.
