Smuggled iPhone 16 Pro Max phones seized from Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD: Customs authorities have seized over two dozen imported phones, including the newly launched iPhone 16 Pro Max at Islamabad Airport.

According to media reports, the customs staff posted at Islamabad airport recovered 30 iPhone 16 Pro Max from passengers coming from UAE as well as other imported phones.

Sources said that the passenger, a resident of Quetta, was reportedly in touch with Customs staff. However, the other staff foiled this bid to smuggle phones.

Reportedly, the Customs officials have registered an FIR against the passenger but did not include the name of the official who was aiding the smuggling attempt.
