SNGPL ramps up efforts to combat gas theft in Islamabad

WEB DESK: The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) Gas Task Force has intensified its efforts to combat gas theft in the region, leading to the apprehension of individuals involved in illegal activities.

Adnan Ahmed, the general manager in Islamabad, confirmed that decisive steps have been taken against suspected gas thieves.

In Chattha Bakhtawar, the owners of a girls hostel are currently under investigation for their alleged involvement in gas theft.

Similarly, in Sector G-10, an individual engaged in gas theft through a direct connection has been apprehended.

Consequently, the gas connections of the accused parties have been promptly severed, and legal proceedings have been initiated against them.

Alongside filing FIRs at relevant police stations, endeavors are underway to ascertain the extent of gas pilferage, with appropriate charges set to be filed accordingly.
