Two minor sisters allegedly raped in Karachi

Raping

WEB DESK: A horrific case of sexual violence has shaken North Karachi after two minor sisters—aged just 8 and 15, were brutally assaulted in their own home, authorities told Dawn Newspaper.

Medical examinations at Dr. Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital confirmed both victims bore clear evidence of sexual violence and extreme physical trauma, with the younger child fighting for her life in serious condition.

The girls’ uncles brought them to the hospital Tuesday evening, though disturbing details emerged that they had initially sought treatment at a New Karachi facility three days earlier. Forensic teams have secured DNA evidence from the victims as part of the investigation.

Police disclosed troubling family circumstances that the sisters’ father passed away four years ago, and their mother now resides with a new husband and other children. Investigators face conflicting narratives, with the mother previously blaming an “intruder” while relatives point fingers at the stepfather.

SSP Central Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqi confirmed multiple investigative angles are being pursued in this deeply disturbing case that has exposed vulnerabilities in child protection systems.
